For our second stop in New York this trip we went on a walking tour of Manhatten and a trip to 1 World Trade Center

Manhatten from our balcony. QM2 docked at the Brooklyn terminal again  at Battery Park there seemed to be researchers checking on the varieties of fish in the Hudson  American Merchant Mariners Memorial  a view up towards the 1 World Trade Center tower 
street art  this is the headquarters of the "Men in Black" disguised as the tunnel entrance  George Washington statue outside NY City Hall  the top of the city wall ... 
... that ran along what is now "Wall Street"  NY Stock Exchange building  memorial to fire fighters who died on 9/11  and the 9/11 memorial itself. No matter how many times we come it is still very moving 
the day we visited would have been Richard Dunstan's birthday. He was a British national working in the US  new-york-20161011-4744  Ellis Island viewed from the floor 100 observation deck of the 1 World Trade Centre tower  Liberty Island, Ellis Island and New Jersey in the background
