Easter in the Mediteranean

We arrived in El Ferrol to a sunny day we decidied to make another visit to Santiaago di Compostela - this is the main administrative building of the town in the main square anad opposite the Cathedral the front of the cahedral is still covered by scaffolding so we went to the back, this is the old graveyard, now a piazza the musicians see us off
Arriving in Ibiza, this is the old town we had never been to Ibiza before and were surprised at its history, this is in the old town the Cathedral overlooking the harbour

We went by coach to Ciutadella, the old capital beefore the British moved the capital to Port Mahon in 1721 the main square the old port of Ciutadella inside the garden of the Bishop's palace
this old windmill is now a restaurant, its right in the centre of Ciutadella We are in Corsica now, we docked in Ajaccio. by road train to the top of the mountain, 2,600 feet.  The whole area is a nature reserve, the scrublands  at the foot of the hills is called "Maquis" snow covered mountains in the distance

We are in Sardinia now.  We docked at Oblio and took a coach across the siland to Palau We took the ferry to the Madddelena islands this is part of the archipelago the Mistral has carved some strange shapes in the rocky outcrops back at the port of La Maddelena

Easter Sunday saw us in Palma de Mallorca. We took a vintage electric train from the outskirts of Palma to Soller through 13 tunnels the church in Soller looking over Valldemossa village centre the back streets
IMG 5433 we docked in Cartagena on Easter Monday and went to the world heritgae site at Elche.  This is the former castle Basilica of the Assumption in the Palm Park
