Goðafoss - "waterfall of the gods"
a massive set of falls in North Western Iceland
You can get some idea of the scale from the people in the pictures
Off next to Skutustadagigar wetlands formed by the interaction of steaming water with lava flows.

according to legend this is where the Devil landed .....

on now to Namafjall.

Docked in Reykjavik, we visited Gullfoss
the "Golden Falls" in South west Iceland
again the people in the photos give an idea of scale
Geysir - the hot springs
they erupt every five to ten minutes
the safety barriers keep visitors well away from the boiling water
the so called "little Geysir"
This is Thingvellir - the rift valler
where the North American tectonic plate meets the European tectonic plate
a very pcturesque scene these days
part of the junction between the two plates
on foot in Europe and one in North America !
